World in Progress (WIP) is collaborating with CAF – the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean – in the Latin America and the Caribbean International Economic Forum 2026, which will take place on January 28 and 29 in Panama City.

This edition brings together heads of state, policymakers, business leaders, and prominent global thinkers to address the region’s major strategic challenges in a context of transformation of the international order. The agenda focuses on economic growth, macroeconomic stability, the energy and digital transition, social cohesion, and the role of Latin America and the Caribbean in the new geopolitical landscape.

Featured speakers include the President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva; the 2025 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences, Philippe Aghion; and the former President of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos. The Chairman of PRISA, Joseph Oughourlian, will deliver the opening address on the second day.

Through this collaboration, World in Progress strengthens its commitment to strategic reflection, informed debate, and international cooperation, contributing to projecting a vision of Latin America and the Caribbean as a dynamic, innovative region that plays a key role in addressing major global challenges.
