Sergio Díaz-Granados,
Sergio Díaz-Granados is the current Executive President of CAF (Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean). He is a lawyer from the Externado University of Colombia, with advanced studies in Public Management and Constitutional Law, and has an extensive background in both the public and private sectors, focusing on regional development and economic integration. He served as Colombia's Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism, where he led key negotiations for trade agreements with the United States, the European Union, and other countries.
Before assuming the presidency of CAF, he served as Executive Director for Colombia and Peru at the IDB Group, where he stood out for his work in the merger of the Inter-American Investment Corporation and his leadership in financial inclusion initiatives. During his time at CAF, he has worked to strengthen Latin American integration, promoting sustainable infrastructure projects and social programs aimed at reducing poverty and improving the quality of life in the region.
