Marco Sansavini is the CEO and Chairman of Iberia, having assumed these roles in April 2024. He brings over 25 years of experience in the airline industry, having worked across Europe in various key positions. Before taking on the leadership of Iberia, Sansavini served as the CEO of Vueling, where he focused on strengthening the airline's operations and resilience.

His career began at KLM in 1995, where he held multiple roles in sales and marketing, alliances, and mergers and acquisitions. After the merger of KLM and Air France, he moved to Paris to take on further responsibilities, including Vice President of Global Business and Commercial Director for Europe at Air France-KLM.

Sansavini is an alumnus of the University of Bologna, where he studied Economics, and he also holds an EMBA from IMD in Lausanne. His extensive background in both strategic management and operational roles has equipped him to lead Iberia during a transformative period for the airline, with a focus on enhancing customer experience and expanding connectivity.
