Josep Sánchez Llibre is the current president of Foment del Treball, Catalonia's leading business association, a position he has held since 2018. Born in Vilasar de Mar in 1949, Sánchez Llibre has an extensive political and business career. Before taking on the presidency of Foment, he served as a member of the Spanish Congress of Deputies for over two decades as a representative of Convergència i Unió (CiU).

In his parliamentary work, he was known for advocating the interests of Catalan businesses and SMEs and for participating in various economic and industrial development committees.
