Marc Murtra has been the CEO of Telefónica since January 2025. He holds a degree in industrial engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and his professional career spans the technology sector, the private sector and public administration.

Before joining Telefónica, he served as president of Indra from 2021 to 2025. Prior to that, he was CEO of Red.es and chief of staff at the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, in addition to working in strategic consulting and investment banking.
