Enrique Goñi is the founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Hermes Institute (Instituto Hermes), as well as the Deputy Chairman of CriteriaCaixa. He previously served as Chairman and CEO of Banca Cívica, Chief Executive Officer of Caja de Ahorros de Navarra, and Deputy General Director of Agrupación Mutua.  

In addition, he is a member of the Spanish Chapter of the Club of Rome and of the Advisory Committee of the Latin America Global Leadership and Competitiveness Program at Georgetown University.
