Mario Lubetkin has been the Minister of Foreign Relations of Uruguay since March 2025. Between 2017 and 2025, he served as Assistant Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).  

At the same time, he has worked as an international consultant on strategic communication and international cooperation, advising multilateral organisations, governments and the private sector in Latin America, the European Union and the United States.
